Description: Learn how to effectively use EXCEL and the internet for instructional purposes to teach statistics. The content will teach basic EXCEL skills and explore topics such as generating random numbers, simulations, frequency tables, summary statistics, graphs and charts, linear regression, correlation, binomial distribution, normal distribution, z-values and t-values, hypothesis testing, and ANOVA. The topics and methods are aligned with the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics (NCTM 2000). Review the research of instructional implications for the use of technology in the classroom. Engage in interesting real-world activities that can be immediately used in the classroom.
