Description: This course is designed to teach basic TI-83+/TI-84+ calculator skills and innovative ways to

effectively teach math using technology aligned to the Principles and Standards for school mathematics (NCTM 2000). 
The objectives include to assist teachers gain confidence using new teaching strategies that incorporate the
use of technology in the classroom.  No previous knowledge necessary. 

 

Ø       Setting the mode and format your calculator.

Ø       Graph, draw and shade.

Ø       Trace, Zoom, setting windows, split your window, setting tables.

Ø       Use of tables and functions.

Ø       How to perform simulations and probability computations.

Ø       How to input, manipulate data and work with lists.

Ø       Statistical analysis and stat plots of one- and two-variable statistics.

Ø       How to transmit data/programs from one calculator to another.

Ø       Introduction to perform curve fitting.

Ø       Store data and pictures.
