Description: Learn how the TI-83+/TI-84+ calculator can be used for instructional purposes to help teach important mathematical concepts in the Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra and Algebra I curriculum. Investigate the connection between Multiple Intelligences and technology. Engage in real-world activities that can immediately be used in the classroom. Topics included are scientific notation; functions and graphs; recursion; linear, quadratic and exponential growth; basic trigonometry; one-variable statistics and data plots; central tendency; probability; data collection activities; and matrices for solving systems of linear equations.
